Consuming detox water is an easy and effective way to cleanse the body of its impurities. A body free of impurities promotes healthy skin, hair, overall health and also boosts our daily energy. All that is required is the extra effort to add a few things to your water before consuming it. This can be done either overnight or a few hours before consumption. For those of you that are like me and do not drink water as much, adding a few things to the water could enhance its taste and make it a lot more encouraging to drink.

Here are a few simple blends or recipes that you can try to help eliminate the impurities in your body and promote clear skin.

Strawberry, Kiwi, and Mint Detox Water

Ingredients:
  • 10 large strawberries
  • 5 kiwis
  • 3 small mint stems
  • 2 liters filtered water
What to do:
  1. Place all the fruits along with the mint leaves stem into a bowl and thoroughly wash them
  2. Cut each strawberry into halves, making sure to remove the leafy bits
  3. Peel and cut the kiwi into 1/2-inch slices
  4. Add the water to a large jar or jug with a lid
  5. Add all the fruits into the water and remove the mint leaves from the stem. Add it to the water.
  6. Close the lid and leave to infuse overnight or leave to sit for a few hours before serving. Serve with Ice and Enjoy.

Watermelon and Orange Detox Water

Ingredients:
  • 1 small seedless watermelon
  • 3 medium oranges
  • 2 liters filtered water
What to do:
  1. Wash, peel, and remove the seeds from the oranges then cut them into thin slices
  2. Wash and peel the watermelon and cut it up into small wedges
  3. Add the water to a big jar or jug that has a lid
  4. Add the cut-up fruits to the water
  5. Close the lid and leave to infuse overnight or leave to sit for a few hours before serving or drinking on the same day.

Cucumber, Lemon, and Mint Detox Water

Ingredients:
  • 1 small seedless watermelon
  • 3 medium oranges
  • 2 liters filtered water
What to do:
  1. Wash, peel and remove the seeds from the oranges then cut them into thin slices
  2. Wash and peel the watermelon and cut it up into small wedges
  3. Add the water to a big jar or jug that has a lid
  4. Add the cut-up fruits to the water
  5. Close the lid and leave to infuse overnight or leave to sit for a few hours before serving or drinking on the same day.

Mango and Cantaloupe Detox Water

Ingredients:
  • 2 large ripe mangoes
  • 1 small ripe cantaloupe
  • 2 liters of filtered water
  Directions:
  1. Wash and peel the mangoes and cantaloupe
  2. cut them both into small pieces, making sure to remove the seeds
  3. Add the water to a large jug or jar with a lid
  4. Add the sliced fruits to the water
  5. Close the lid and leave to infuse overnight or leave to sit for a few hours, then add ice and serve
