This article is just for memory.
October, 8th, 2020 marked one year since I have been in braces.
And while some days may be painful, I wouldn’t change it for a thing.
I know many people who wish to get braces themselves and I am so forever grateful.
Having beautiful straight teeth has been a long-time dream of mine.
I am 24 years old now and I am happy to have my braces no matter my age.
My teeth have made tremendous progress from what they were to what they are now. I am absolutely loving my new smile.
If my very caring orthodontist ever sees this, I just want to say a big THANK YOU! You are out there, straightening smiles and changing lives.
I have some photos of my progress. They are not the best images because I am no professional photographer but for the sake of memories and most of all for the sake of inspiration, I will put aside my pride.
I hope those of you who want braces or have braces will find some hope and encouragement here.
Before Braces
First day with Braces
One year with Braces
I am currently wearing V-shaped rubber bands to close my bite in the back. Also, I am already wearing my permanent retainers in the top and bottom on the few teeth that need it.
On average, I have about 4 months more or 4 more adjustments in total before I can get my braces removed and replaced with plastic retainers.
I am grateful and excited 🙂
