Looking for natural or affordable remedies to combat your acne? Look no further than these 2 ingredient masks that can be made in your kitchen.

DIY Face masks are great alternatives to store-bought masks. They are mostly natural and affordable and best of all effective when used consistently. The results achieved using DIY face masks can be long term as opposed to store-bought mask which may need to be used continuously to maintain results.

These 3 DIY face masks are the ones I used when I started to experience breakouts that turned into full-blown Acne. They worked tremendously and didn’t cost me more than what was already in my kitchen. Face masks are an essential step to take when aiming to combat acne. Give yourself a mini at-home facial making sure to incorporate one or more of these 3 DIY face masks recipes.

Turmeric and Plain Low-fat Yogurt

  • Mix 1/2 teaspoon turmeric to 1 1/2 teaspoons of plain low-fat yogurt. 
  • Apply to the face with a thick layer over acne-prone areas. Additionally, it can be applied to the undereye to help relieve dark circles.
  • Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes before gently removing with lukewarm water.

Honey and Cinnamon

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of Raw Honey with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder or grated cinnamon stick.                                               
  • Mix well and then apply to the face.                                             
  • Leave on for 15 to 20 mins, allowing the skin to absorb the essential properties of the mixture.                                                                     
  • Remove with lukewarm water, making sure to rub in small circular motions for an exfoliating effect.
  • Pat dry and notice how your skin will look noticeably brighter and softer.

Matcha green tea powder and Apple Cider Vinegar

  • Add 1 teaspoon Matcha green tea powder to 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar, then mix thoroughly.                                                                                    
  • Apply the mixture in even layers to the face, avoiding the undereye area.                       
  • Let it sit for about 15-20 mins and then remove it with warm water.

 

Apply a non-comedogenic moisturizer to prevent clogging your pores and repeat the use of one of these DIY face masks 1-2 times per week.
